You’re a Good Product For PDP; Oritsejafor, Okrika Tell Igban
A Former Minister of Defense and one time National Secretary, People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Roland Oritsejafor has advocated for credible candidates for the party ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Similarly, the Pioneer Chairman, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Chief Wellington Okrika has stressed the need for PDP to settle for the best at all times to remain ahead of other political parties.
Dr Oritsejafor and Chief Okrika spoke in their separate remarks when they played host to a front line aspirant for Delta State House of Assembly, Warri South-West Constituency, Hon Andrew Igban who was at their residences on consultative visits over his aspiration to represent his people at the state legislature.
They maintained that the era of imposition of candidates was over, emphasizing the need for the party to throw up candidates with outstanding qualities and grassroots development orientation for 2019 general elections.
Dr Oritsejafor and Chief Okrika described Hon Igban as a good product for PDP, stressing that having worked closely with the members of the Delta State House of Assembly since 2003, he has the experience to represent Warri South-West Constituency in the state legislature.
They however urged him to go about his consultation peaceful and to put to proper use his experience as a former PDP youth leader to reach out to critical stakeholders to garner their supports.
In his remarks at both ends, Hon Andrew Igban, a recipient of the United Nation Award of Excellence said his aspirations was an answer to a clarion call by the good people of Warri South-West constituency who he said, have always yearned for quality representation at the Delta State House of Assembly.
Accompanied by hundreds of his teaming supporters, Hon Igban stated that he has all it takes to provide the needed leadership and good governance in Warri South West, maintaining that his support cuts across ethnic divides.
The former PDP Youth Leader, said “I belong to PDP. I have always worked for the success of the party. PDP has never lost an election in Warri South-West and I had always be a major player in the success story of the party in my constituency. I am still very committed to the goals, yearnings and aspirations of PDP. In the past I have mobilized for the victory of others. This time around, I am soliciting for my party’s support in my desire to represent my people in the Delta State House of Assembly. It is God’s own project and success is sure”.
Hon Igban disclosed that the visits to the residences of the former Minister and former Chairman of DESOPADEC, were in continuation of his consultations with critical stakeholders in the constituency to intimate them of his aspirations and solicit for their prayers and support.
He thanked all for opening their doors to him and his supporters, even as he assured them of getting the best from him.
