The Wretched Condition of Women Affairs Primary School Asaba


Government Owned Schools in the state capital ought to be models for other schools within the state but that cannot be said of Women Affairs Primary School Asaba.

The school is currently under attack by incessant flooding and lack of proper sanitation activities. Women Affairs Primary School Asaba which is located along the ever busy Summit Road could be said to have been completely abandoned by the Women Affairs Ministry, Ministry of Education and indeed the Delta State Government.

Pupils of this school cannot enjoy their recreation hours as the perimeter fence of the school which was destroyed by flood has been abandoned. The fear of the unknown restricts the pupils from having fun within the school premises.

Rainy days are the saddest days for the pupils and their parents as they forced to swim the flooded premises to and from their classrooms.

We are using this expository post to call on Delta State Government and relevant authorities to intervene and come to the rescue of this school and the pupils. Our Children deserves to learn and enjoy their education in a dignified and healthy environment.

The broken fence should be fixed in order to prevent criminals from gaining a foot hold on these innocent pupils especially in these dangerous times.
