In a recent publication, Forbes has released its highly anticipated list of the 50 wealthiest Black Americans, with three United States-based Nigerians included.
According to Forbes the three Nigerians are; Adebayo Ogunlesi, Tope Awotona, and Wemimo Abbey, all three have been recognized for their outstanding achievements in their respective fields, solidifying their positions among the most influential and affluent Black Americans.
Adebayo Ogunlesi: A Veteran in Investment Banking.
Ogunlesi, 71, is the chairman and CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners, a private equity firm. With a storied career spanning over two decades in investment banking at Credit Suisse, Ogunlesi has also served as an attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. His impressive net worth of $1.7 billion earns him a spot on the prestigious list.

Awotona, founder and CEO of Calendly, has come a long way since investing his life savings of $200,000 in 2013. Today, his scheduling software company boasts over 20 million users and 100,000 organizations, with a valuation of $3 billion.
