2020 World Safety Day: We Have Put Measures To Sustain Safe Working Environment – Matrix Energy


A reputable Oil and Gas Indigenous company with international standard of operation, Matrix Energy Group Nigeria Limited says they have put measures in place in order to sustain safety and good working environment in all their areas of operations across Nigeria.

This was disclosed Wednesday April 29, 2020 in Warri, Delta State by Matrix Energy Health and Environment Team on behalf of the company’s management during the commemoration of this year’s World Safety Day with the theme: “Maintain Safety at Work Environment”.

The Group Head, Health Safety & Environment, Matrix Energy, Mr. Fred Olomuro pointed out that the company has already ensured that use of face masks, regular washing of hands with use of Sanitizer is enforced around all Matrix Energy facilities, adding that the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, Alhaji Kabir Ajisa, Chief Operating Officer, Alhaji Luqman Alada on behalf management have made available temperature checking equipment for all customers coming into their yard to do business with the firm as well as creating internal awareness and distribution of face masks to all drivers including truck drivers free of charge for effective fight against COVID-19.

According to the Matrix Energy Group Head, HSE, he noted that, they have reduced much number of persons coming into the loading point in order to maintain social distancing.

They commended Delta state government for announcing compulsory  wearing of face masks in order to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus Pandemic in the state.

He further noted that Matrix Energy before the World Safety Day, had been proactive and has already embarked on weekly disinfection of offices, vehicles, handrails, adding that the company has also developed policy for COVID 2019 Prevention and Containment.
