Water Bill: Ndokwa Youths Cautions Buhari, Reaffirms support for Okowa, Osanebi


The Ndokwa National Youth Movement, NNYM, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to trend with caution in the proposed water resources bill resubmitted to the National Assembly for legislative actions.

The National President of the the youth movement worldwide, Comrade Benjamin Onwubolu who addressed newsmen after the enlarged National Executive meeting of the body held in Kwale, Ndokwa West local government area of Delta State restated its rejection to the bill when it was first submitted to the National Assembly.

Comrade Onwubolu said the bill which seeks to transfer ownership of all waterways and their banks to the federal government, was resisted totally by the youths the very first time it was proposed, stressing “the bill is anti Niger Delta, Anti Ndokwa Nation, and as the mouthpiece of Ndokwa youths, the organization is duty bound to speak out”. adding that they will not hesitate to mobilize in their thousands to March through the streets in protest of the bill.

The NNYM congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the Member Representing Ndokwa East in the Delta State House of Assembly Rt Hon Friday Osanebi for their victories at the elections petition tribunal, expressing total satisfaction with the verdicts of the tribunal.

The National Secretary of the youth movement Ifechukwude Presley Idi in a statement, added that the verdicts reflected the true wishes of the people as well as victory for democracy and rule of law and reaffirmed their support for good governance in the state.

“We reaffirm our total support for His Excellency Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and our pioneer National President and current member representing Ndokwa East Constituency at the delta state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi. With the synergy between the Governor, aka Road Master and Osanebi, aka, the Empowerment Master, youths of Ndokwa Nation will continue to have their pride of place”.

The youth movement appreciated Osanebi for his overwhelming support and continuous show of love for Ndokwa youths, particularly for single handedly sponsoring the Ndokwa Youth Enterpreneural and Empowerment Skill Acquisition Scheme (NYEESAS).
