Warri Market: Disregard Any Directive of Closure, Tidi tells Igbudu Market Traders
Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi has urged traders in Igbudu Market, Warri to disregard alleged directive from any other quarter that they should not open for business on Monday April 29, over purported security threat.
The Warri South Local Government Chief Security Officer in a swift reaction to a letter written to the Igbudu Market leadership by certain persons that they should not open for business on Monday April 29, emphatically declared that there is no security threat in Igbudu Market /Hausa Quarters and other parts of Warri South Local Government Area.
Dr. Tidi stressed that the Police Area Command in Warri have been duly communicated to ensure that the traders are given the necessary protection against persons with criminal tendencies that are capable of causing security breach in and around Igbudu Market as well as other parts of the local government area.
According to Dr. Tidi, the major plank of his administration is socio-economic development, hence high premium has been placed on expansion of business activities as well as ensuring peace and security around market places and other investments’ concern.
