Waive Unveils Campaign Office, Charges APC Leaders To Give Ticket To Popular Candidate
A House of Representative hopeful for the Ughelli North/South/Udu federal constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Party, Rev. Francis Ejiroghene Waive, has opened his campaign office, in Udu Local Government Area Delta State.
Addressing thousands of supporters who thronged the venue, Rev. Waive tasked APC leaders in Delta not to give party ticket to unpopular and lazy man, stressing that if given the party’s ticket, he will win the election overwhelmingly with the backing of the church.
Speaking at the occasion, Waive said he was optimistic of winning the election next year, saying that there is need to change the narrative that says, “Politics is dirty,’ we are here to change that. I want to beg you for your support, we are changing that narrative, making politics a matter of service for the people, and we will make projects to visible, traceable and useful.
According to him, “anybody that PDP brings, I will defect him in the general election. Let’s not give the ticket to someone because he is a family member or a friend of the family, let’s give it to someone that can give our party victory and give our people effective representation.
Waive who enjoys the backing of the leadership of CAN/PFN in the state, with most of his members and supporter drown from the churches in the three local governments and beyond, promised to be accessible to his constituent if elected.
Speaking also, one of the party’s woman leaders, Dr. Mrs. Janet Oyubu, reeled out the achievements of the APC-led government in the past three years under the Buhari’s administration, urging Deltans to vote for the party come 2019 elections.
The event was graced by APC leaders and notable men of God, across ethnic divide.
