Video: John Mahama Slip-Up, Calls Tinubu ‘President of Ghana’
A viral video has emerged of John Mahama, Ghana’s newly sworn-in president, mistakenly referring to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu as the “President of Ghana” during his inauguration ceremony on January 7.
Mahama, 65, has begun his second tenure as president, succeeding Nana Akufo-Addo.
His first presidency was from July 2012 to January 2017, following the passing of President John Evans Atta Mills in July 2012.
During his inauguration speech, Mahama expressed gratitude to Tinubu, who was the special guest of honor, but mistakenly called him the “President of Ghana”. The crowd reacted with a mix of laughter and applause.
