On Thursday, September 19, 2024, Team Delta celebrated a remarkable victory at the 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, securing an impressive 41 gold, 27 silver, and 30 bronze medals.
This performance not only showcased the incredible talent of young athletes but also solidified Delta’s position as a powerhouse in Nigerian sports.

Team Lagos followed closely, earning the silver medal with 25 golds, while Team Edo took home the bronze with a total of 53 medals, including 17 golds. Team Bayelsa also had a strong showing, finishing fourth with 52 medals, showcasing the depth of talent across the nation.
