VeryDarkman Speaks Out on Rivers State Emergency

Social media critic Martins Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM), has weighed in on the ongoing political turmoil in Rivers State.

This followed President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency and suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy and House of Assembly members.

In a video shared on his official X handle on Wednesday, VDM questioned the extent of Tinubu’s control, suggesting that former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike holds significant influence over the president.

“Who is truly running Nigeria? Why does Nyesom Wike always get what he wants? How can they suspend a sitting governor for six months and force him out of office?” VDM asked.

VDM also criticized Governor Fubara for challenging Wike without a solid strategy and speculated about Wike’s strong alliance with Tinubu, hinting at a possible presidential ambition for Wike in 2032.

The social media critic’s comments sparked a heated discussion, with some users echoing his concerns.
