Uviejitobor Promises More Government Presence In Udu Constituency


The Member Representing Udu Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Peter Uviejitobor has promised to continue to use his privileged position in the state to attract more growth and progress to Udu Local Government Area.

Speaking at a grand reception in his honour, immediately after the inauguration of the Seventh Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Uviejitobor said his reelection to the state legislature was divine.

The Lawmaker disclosed that tremendous progress were made in constituency in the last four years, pointing out that the effort was geared toward laying the foundation for a greater and stronger Udu local government area.

Hon Uviejitobor who listed over Thirty (30) projects he attracted to the council area during his first tenure, explained that he is on a consolidation mission to Udu Constituency.

He maintained that with the support and synergy from critical stakeholders, Udu local government area will witness unprecedented development in the next Four years.

Hon Uviejitobor disclosed that the great importance he attached to the business of lawmaking resulted to the number of motions and bills he sponsored and co-sponsored on the floor of the house.

He emphasized that the voice of Udu people were very pronounced in the hallowed chamber as he would always strive to contribute in debates on matters raised on the floor of the house.

Hon Uviejitobor said he shall be looking forward for ways to attract developmental projects to areas that had less attention during his first tenure with a view of consolidating on the previous achievements.

The Lawmaker promised to take steps towards ensuring that more of his constituents participate in governance by making laws and sponsoring motions that will alleviate the living standards of the people.

Hon Uviejitobor who expressed gratitude to the state governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his support and the people of Udu for reelecting him, also promised to embark on more human capital development as the Okowa’s administration moves towards building a stronger Delta State.

Some elders, leaders, constituents, friends and family members who spoke commended Hon Uviejitobor for his pragmatism and drive towards providing quality representation to the people of Udu as well as attracting development the Constituency.

They prayed God to grant him the wherewithal as he stepped into another glorious tenure as a state legislator and representative of Udu Constituency.

The ceremony was attended by a mammoth crowd from Udu who in their large numbers trooped to Asaba, the state capital in solidarity with Hon Uviejitobor and to witness his inauguration as a member of the Seventh Delta State House of Assembly.
