Ukraine War Could End Soon, Says Trump After Putin Talks

U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he had a productive discussion with Russian President Vladimir Putin, sparking hopes of a potential end to the ongoing war in Ukraine.
According to Trump, there’s a “very good chance” the conflict can be resolved. “We had very good and productive discussions with President Vladimir Putin of Russia yesterday, and there is a very good chance that this horrible, bloody war can finally come to an end,” Trump stated on Truth Social.
Trump also revealed that he requested Putin to spare the lives of Ukrainian troops who are currently surrounded.
