Ughelli South: Chief Ejiro Nomuoja Resigns from Peoples Democratic Party


In a surprising turn of events, Chief Ejiro Nomuoja, Esq., has officially tendered his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a letter dated December 16, 2024, addressed to the Ward Chairman of Ekakpamre Ward 7 in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State, Chief Nomuoja announced his decision to withdraw his membership from the party.

Chief Nomuoja, who has been a dedicated and loyal member of the PDP since 2015, expressed his gratitude for the support he has received over the years. He acknowledged his late mother, Hon. Chief Mrs. Evelyn Ohwojeheri JP, as a significant influence in his political journey and a strong pillar within the party.

In his resignation letter, Chief Nomuoja highlighted the challenges he has faced during his time with the PDP and his consistent efforts to deliver on his commitments to the party. However, after much reflection, he has concluded that the PDP is no longer the right fit for him and he is now considering other political options.

“I have been loyal, selfless, committed, and dedicated towards achieving the party goals. I have worked immensely hard for my political ward and the party at large,” Chief Nomuoja wrote. “After thorough soul searching and careful consideration of the time I have spent in the party, I have come to the conclusion that the PDP is truly no longer a place for me.”

This development marks a significant shift in the political landscape of Ughelli South LGA, as Chief Nomuoja is known for his influential role within the PDP. His decision to resign highlights change for the seasoned politician, who now seeks to explore new political avenues.
