Ughelli Monarch lauds Afiesere Excos, Charges them on Unity, Transparency

Ughelli Monarch, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Wilson Ojakovo Oharisi III, Ovie of Great Ughelli Kingdom, Ughelli North local government area of Delta state, has congratulated the new executives of Afiesere community and charged them on unity and transparency in their administration.

His Majesty gave this charge when Chief Patrick Ikama sent a delegation through Chief Uvie Robinson Efevwerha, Chief Joseph Omo-Udoyo, Chief Florence Akpoyibo, Chief Onobruchere Francis, Chief Henry Obukohwo and Chief Shikaleke Emmanuel to introduce the new Afiesere executives headed by the President General, Mr. Luke Umukoro and the Chairman, Youth/Employment Committee, Mr. Erubure Ejotubu to the palace.

Oharisi III, while thanking them for the courtesy visit, expressed joy, saying that the visit was first of its kind in Afiesere community and commended the chiefs and the new Afiesere executives for the initiative in introducing the new leadership of the Afiesere community to the palace.

His Majesty said, “This is one of its kind displayed by Afiesere community, and I’m convinced that with the high and calibre of chiefs that have come to show the executives to the king and the palace, it is an indication that the entire Afiesere community has not only accepted the new executives but had also given them their prayers and blessings.

“While l also pray for them for a successful tenure, l charge them to run all inclusive administration that is free of violence and acrimony, but that of unity, transparency and oneness. l enjoined them as my doors are open anytime they need counseling that will bring in progress and overall development to the community.”

Earlier, the President General of Afiesere community, Mr. Luke Umukoro who spoke on behalf of the executives commended His Majesty, Oharisi Iii, Ovie of Great Ughelli kingdom for the reception he accorded their chiefs and the new executives, and all the rich advice he has given to them.

Umukoro speaking further promised to ensure that everybody is carried along and also assures the people of a good working relationship between the Afiesere community, residence and the company operating in their domain for synergy and unity.
