Uduaghan Calls for Collective Effort to Develop Asaba, Delta State

Former Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has called on Deltans to join  hands with government to make Asaba a befitting state capital.

The former Governor stated this yesterday while commissioning Downtown Lounge and Restaurant in Asaba.

He noted that Asaba was known for several industries and businesses established by Asaba indigenes and called on the younger generation of Asaba to invest in the area as government alone can’t develop the state capital.

“Asaba people must help in developing the town, they shouldn’t wait for government alone. You must contribute your own quota, I said so because Asaba became very popular because of the calibre of men and women in Asaba, they had industries everywhere even in Asaba.

“I keep challenging the younger people from Asaba, your parents have done their part in popularizing Asaba, what are you doing to improve Asaba? What are your investments in Asaba? Asaba can take a lot more restaurants than it has now. Am happy that Isioma is doing what I appealed to Asaba indigenes to do by investing in Asaba.

He thanked the Omu of Asaba for identifying with those making Asaba to progress, stressing, “It is not enough for Asaba people to criticize government they must also contribute their quota in developing the place,” he said
