Towards 2019 Elections: Why Izeze Deserves The PDP Ticket Again

The “bottom up” approach of the Active Distinguished Honourable member representing Ughelli South in the Delta State House of Assembly, Comrade Izeze R.Y. Reuben, has recorded fruitful results as he is bringing the dividends of democracy to Ughelli South State constituents and Deltans generally in fulfillment of his electioneering campaign promises anchored on Effective Representation and Robust Legislation and in line with the SMART Governor Ifeanyi Okowa Prosperity Agenda for Deltans.

Comrade Izeze recently added two more Pro-people Bills to his previous four (4) Bills by making it six (6) Bills he has sponsored as Lead sponsors, and he took his massive and consistent empowerment of his constituents to a higher level by empowering more of his constituents.

On the 14th, February, 2018, Comrade Izeze enabled 330 market women and women generally, who are Micro Traders, with huge amount of money to boost their Small Medium Enterprises.

On that same day, some youths were empowered with motorcycles, while others were given Standard Generators to enhance their Barbing Salon businesses.

Comrade Izeze also gave N300,000.00 Starter pack to each of the successful participants of his Poultry and Fishery Training Programme in conjunction with LAWAL IYANDA FARMS in Orerokpe, with a pledge of 250 birds and extensive feeding.

Currently, the form for the Comrade Izeze Undergraduates Bursary Scheme for Residents of Ughelli South Local Government Area is out where another batch of 220 Undergraduate Residents of Ughelli South Local Government Area irrespective of wherever they come from by the circumstances of their birth will be given bursary in pursuit of their academic endeavours. Comrade Izeze philosophy of empowering his constituents and others that are not his constituents has made him a Pan-Deltan Leader and one who is in politics for the people solely.

He has endear himself into the hearts of Ughelli South State constituents and Deltans generally on the back of his sterling legislative performance and responsive representation. And there is no stopping him as the zeal to do even more is there.

Comrade Izeze is a man of the people any day and he is always at home with them and he is accessible at all times and through that, he gets to know about their developmental challenges and yearnings and attend to them promptly.

His giant strides since he was voted into office in 2015 has seen him enjoy something close to a cult followership amongst the masses across the length and breadth of Ughelli South and Delta State in general.

Given his sterling performance and widespread acceptance among the people, it is only natural that he should be given the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ticket to contest the general elections in 2019. That is how to reward performance and a performer of great repute. As a way of encouraging them to do more because a performing public office holder is usually considered over a non- performing one when the people are sets to cast their ballots in any elections.

Indeed, Our Nigerian Electoral System is evolving and the people are becoming wiser by the day as they look at the record of performance of those on the ballot when making up their minds on who to work for.

Any party that fail to send her first eleven and performing public office holders with proven record of service delivery as candidates for the general elections in 2019, May not measure up when the elections gets underway.

Here comes the choice of Comrade Izeze as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) again to continue his robust lawmaking and responsive representation generally.

If PDP as a party can get it right again in 2019 by sending her first eleven and best performing public office holders with proven record of service delivery, I don’t see any party that can spring surprises at the polls as it will be PDP and PDP all the way because PDP is the best political party in Nigeria nay Africa and just like the party’s slogan which is “power to the people”, we believe that power truly belong to the people.

With Comrade Izeze as the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for the general elections in 2019, PDP record at the polls will be 99% over 1% for other political parties.
