Takeme Meets Delta South PDP Leaders, Harps On Party’s Unity
Critical stakeholders and Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Delta South have been charged to brace up to the renewed drive for a more united party in the senatorial district.
The Delta South Chairman of the Party, Chief Julius Takeme who gave the charge during consultative meeting with some party leaders and top government functionaries of the state PDP led administration, stressed the need for unity of purpose among members at all times.
Consulting with members of the newly reconstituted governing board of DESOPADEC from Delta South, including Hon. Micheal Diden, Chief Askia Ogieh, Hon Daniel Mayuku, Shedrack Agediga, Paul Bebenimibo, Paul Oweh and Gibson Omasuli, Takeme urged all to help reestablished the credentials of the PDP in the Delta Senatorial district.
While meeting with the immediate past Chairman of the Board of DESOPADEC, Hon. Godwin Ebosa, the State Commissioner for Lands and survey, Hon. Churchill Amagada, Mrs Catherine Ilolo of the State Local Government Service Commission, Chief Takeme said to maintain PDP dominance in Delta South, stakeholders must remain committed to the ideals of the Party.
He lauded the roles of the party leaders in Delta South in the growth and development of the Party, even as he solicited for their unwavering support in the task of making the party stronger in the senatorial district.
“I must reemphasize the need for unity of purpose by party leaders to reestablish the credentials of the PDP in the Senatorial district. To maintain the party dominance in Delta South, we have to set the ball rolling leaving no stone untouched, hence the consultative visits with party structures and leaders following my assumption of office on August 6, 2019. I must restate my commitment to run a robust, healthy, harmonious and an all inclusive party in Delta South”. Takeme stated.
Chief Takeme appealed to the leaders to draw his attention to suggestions that would foster greater unity, peace and progress in the party.
The Delta South PDP Chairman, who had earlier consulted with Senator James Manager, Chief Joseph Otumara, Hon. Austin Oroye, Chief Barry Pere Gbe, Chief PY Biakpara, Chief Funkekeme Solomon, Hon. Dan Yingi and Chief Favour Izoukumo among others, disclosed that he is taking every possible step to establish a solid structures in the senatorial district.
“Engagement with party top shots has to be maintained in line with my mandate to keep the winning streak of the Party. I need the experience and advice of leaders in this crucial time as it would help me and my team in the task of making the party stronger in the senatorial district. All critical stakeholders should throw their weight behind my led party executive in Delta South with a view of maintaining dominance in the senatorial district “.
The leaders in their remarks lauded Chief Takeme for his forthright leadership and urged him to remain focused in his vigor to building a stronger and more united PDP family in Delta South Senatorial District.
