Supreme Court Declares Wike’s Ally Sam Anyanwu Legitimate PDP National Secretary

Following the judgment delivered on Friday, the Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed Samuel Anyanwu as the authentic National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to THECABLE, the apex court’s decision overturned the rulings of the Court of Appeal in Enugu and a Federal High Court, which had earlier removed Anyanwu from the position.

Anyanwu, a close ally of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has been embroiled in a protracted leadership tussle within the PDP. Today’s judgment brings clarity to the party’s national leadership structure.
