Stronger Delta: Onwo Urges Isoko Nation To Sustain Support For Governor Okowa
The Member representing Isoko South Two Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon Ferguson Onwo has called on the Isoko nation to continue to support the policies and programmes of the Okowa administration in order to fast track all round development for a Stronger Delta.
Hon Onwo made the call when he met with staff of Isoko ethnic nationality of the State House of Assembly and the State House of Assembly Commission at the Press Centre, Assembly Complex, Asaba.
The Lawmaker said the Okowa administration had embarked on several development projects across the state adding that Isoko nation had not been left out.
Hon Onwo assured the people that he would work with other Isoko lawmakers in the State Assembly to attract development to Isoko nation and solicited the support of Isoko indigenes in order to achieve goals.
The lawmaker advised Isoko indigenes in the State House of Assembly to perform their duties diligently and uphold the integrity the Isokos are known for.
Hon Onwo commended the Isoko indigenes in the State House of Assembly for their contributions to the development of the legislature in the state and advised them to continue to put in their best.
The Chairman of Isoko Indigenes in the State House of Assembly, Mr John Oveh congratulated Honourable Ferguson Onwo on his victory at the poll saying that his victory would translate to more development of Isoko nation.
Mr Oveh said similar visits have been made to other Isoko lawmakers stressing the need for synergy between lawmakers of Isoko nation and Isoko staff in the Assembly.
He pledged the support of Isoko staff to the promotion of the legislature.
