Security Agents Intensify War Against Drug Abuse in Owa, Agbor

The members of Ika security operatives have reiterated their resolve to curb the rising cases of drug-related challenges in Agbor, Owa, and environ.
This resolution was contained in a communique released and signed by the heads of various security outfits in the locality and made available to newsmen in Boji-Boji Owa of Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.
Members of the security operatives comprise Owa Rinma Security Outfit, Agbor Rinma Security Outfit, Ika North East Vigilante, Ika South Vigilante, Delta North Security Network, Agbor Youth General, Anioma Security Watch, Anti-Cult Groups, and Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service
According to the communique, after exhaustive and robust deliberations as a result of the dangers associated and the severe health challenge of the intake of these illicit hard drugs such as ice, colos, and other destructive drugs common amongst our youths in the locality.
The statement reads in parts we proclaim a total and absolute ban on the sales of these aforementioned drugs Owa, Agbor, and environ.
“We have resolved that any youth or group of people found involved in the sales of these drugs shall be arrested and handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA”
Also, any person or persons found smoking or in consumption of these drugs shall as well be arrested and handed over to NDLEA for further investigation and prosecution” they stated.
The statement also warned patent medicine dealers to desist from the sale of these hard drugs or face the full weight of the law.
According to them, these decisions were taken in the best interest of the entire residents of Ika nation.
These decisions were reached as a result of the impediments as regards the adverse mental health challenge these drugs have caused our youths as parents and caregivers have continued to suffer from the menace of these drugs.
