97th Birthday: Guwor Describes Pa Clark as Pillar of Ijaw Nation


Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has felicitated with Chief Edwin Kiagbodo Clark (Gogorogo) OFR, CON, as he clocks 97 years old today 25th May, 2024.

The Speaker in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, described Chief EK Clark as a quintessential Icon and dependable voice in the Niger Delta.

Rt Hon Guwor maintained that Chief Clerk had remained a father and a shining ambassador of the Ijaw nation, stressing that the nonagenarian is undisputedly a national treasure.

The Speaker emphasized that the celebrant had always promoted justice, equity and equality for the people of the Niger Delta as well as ensuring that the oil rich region was not neglected.

Guwor on behalf of constituents and the Delta State Legislature, wished the former National Information Commissioner happiness, good health, more of God’s grace and peaceful life.

The Speaker said he looks forward to the centenary birthday celebration of Chief EK Clark, even as he extended his felicitation to the entire family of the Ijaw National Leader on the 97 year birth anniversary of their patriarch.

“Pa EK Clark is our quintessential leader and Icon. A dependable voice in Niger Delta. Father and a great ambassador of the Ijaw Nation. He is undisputedly a National Treasure.

“On behalf of my immediate family, constituents and the entire Delta State Legislature, I wish him good health and peaceful life as we look forward to his centenary birthday celebration”, Guwor stated.
