Rotary International District 9141 set to Install Utebor as Governor

Rotary International club district 9141, has slated Saturday, 8th July, 2023 as the investiture of Rtn. Emeke Utebor as its next district governor.
This was disclosed during a chat with journalists on Wednesday, 5th July, at Orchid Hotel Asaba, Delta State.
It revealed that the installation of Rtn. Utebor as the 7th Governor of the district, will hold at Orchid hotel and will be attended by several dignitaries from within and outside the district.
Speaking with the journalists, the incoming Rotarian district Governor, Rtn. Utebor who has been a member of the club since October 30, 2001, expressed happiness of being selected as the Governor of the district.
Giving a brief history of Rotary club, he stressed the purpose and focus of the club, saying, “the rotary club is an organization of professionals and community builders who come together to provide services for the needy around the world.
“Rotarians put their resources together to meet the needs of communities around the world.”
“The focus of rotary club include; peace and conflict resolution, maternal and child health, economic empowerment, educational illiteracy prevention and the environment.” He added.
Rtn. Emeke Utebor said his own focus as the new Governor of Rotary International District 9141, is to “increase membership” adding that the more people join the club, the easier it will be to reach people that need help.
He also noted that the eradication of Polio in the world, was started and made possible by the rotary club, before others joined in the fight.
Utebor called on members of the public especially kindhearted individuals, corporate organizations, state government, federal government, others to join hands with Rotary International club to deliver their mandate.
It will be noted that Rotary International District 9141 comprises of four state which include; Delta, Edo, Rivers and Bayelsa states.
