Prince Harry Dismisses Split from Wife, Meghan Markle
The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, has dismissed rumours of a split from his wife, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex.
According to reports, the rumours circulated due to the couple’s recent separate appearances at public engagements.
Speaking at the New York Times’ 2024 DealBook Summit in New York City, Prince Harry addressed the speculation, saying, “Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times… We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?”
The 40-year-old royal expressed frustration with the constant rumours, stating, “It’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it.”
Prince Harry also shared his thoughts on those who fuel negative rumours surrounding his personal life, saying, “The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls… Their hopes are just built and built, and it’s like, ‘Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,’ and then it doesn’t happen. So I feel sorry for them. Genuinely, I do.”
This is not the first time Prince Harry has spoken out about the challenges of dealing with media scrutiny. In a previous interview, he expressed concerns about his family’s safety due to the British tabloid media’s coverage, stating, “It’s still dangerous… and all it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff to act on what they have read.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been married since 2018 and have two children, Archie Harrison, 5, and Lilibet Diana, 3.
