PHOTOS: Kogi Residents Throw Massive Welcome for Yahaya Bello
Kogi Central Senatorial District was abuzz as former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello returned home to celebrate the New Year with his kinsmen. Accompanied by current Governor Usman Ododo, Bello’s triumphant entry into Okene was met with widespread enthusiasm.
According to CHANNELS TELEVISION report, the district residents thronged the streets, waving and singing in their local dialect to welcome the former governor. Indegene were already waiting beside the road from all angles in Okene as early as 8 am, to catch a glimpse of the former governor.
Upon arriving at the palace of the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Bello addressed the gathering in his local dialect, emphasizing the importance of unity and prayer for leaders. He urged the people to shun social vices and pray fervently for the success of President Tinubu’s administration.
Bello also expressed confidence in Governor Ododo’s administration, assuring that it would deliver more dividends of democracy to all parts of the state. He called on the people to support the current administration’s efforts to bring development to the state.
The former governor’s visit was a significant event in the district, with the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland and many people gathering to receive him at the palace.
