PDP Chieftain, Okpubigho Congratulates Oborevwori on Supreme Court Victory


A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ethiope East local government area of Delta state, Chief Wilson Okpubigho, has congratulated His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Delta State Governor, on his well deserved victory at the Supreme Court.

Okpubigho in a statement made available to newsmen in Asaba, stated that the victory is a well deserved one and a true reflection of the Peoples mandate willingly given to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on the governorship election held on March 2023.

While congratulating the governor, the PDP Chieftain, Chief Wilson Okpubigho noted that the Supreme Court ruling was a manifestation of the will of Deltans genuinely demonstrated during the Delta State governorship poll, affirming both the Tribunal and the Court of Appeal ruling of Oborevwori’s victory.

Okpubigho who was overwhelmed while speaking with newsmen, emphasized that Governor Oborevwori’s victory is not only a celebration for PDP family alone but for the entire Delta state, adding that he was voted into power in respective of political parties and religion because of the confidence repose on him.

Okpubigho said, “Delta is PDP state and PDP is Delta state, hence it will be difficult to leave the state in the hands of any other political party that will at the end of the day destroy not only the entire structure of the party but will end up ruining the entire state.

“I want to sincerely advise all APC members in the state to join hands with Governor Oborevwori to consolidate on the good work he has started since he has assumed office so as to make Delta state great and appeal to all Deltans to rally round Oborevwori’s administration to move the state forward.”
