PDP, APC Mismanaged this Country, I Have the Capacity to Turn Things Around – Kwankwaso
…says Endorsements doesn’t Win Votes.
A frontline candidate for the 2023 presidential election and candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has declared victory for its party at forthcoming presidential election claiming that his antecedents and pedigree are resounding across the country.
Kwankwaso, a two term Governor of the populous Kano state, informed Nigerians of the victory path on Thursday at a private chat with journalists in Asaba.
The presidential candidate who was in the state to meet with party stalwarts and supporters, said that in fulfillment of the constitutional requirements for becoming a president in Nigeria, his party has the masses endorsement to take over the reins of government.
He said that NNPP was the party to cure the nation of its present rotten state occasioned by the bad leaderships of the 16 years and 8 years administrations of the PDP and APC.
While admitting to be among the core founders of PDP in 1998 and then APC in 2014, Kwankwaso noted with displeasure of the surprises he got after both parties secured government. “PDP was founded to kick out the military. Afterwards, I realized that I was in a wrong relationship. Same still happened in the APC where I was declared an enemy”, he said.
Speaking on his blueprint themed, ‘My Pledges To You’, he spotted that the immediate problem of Nigeria was leadership deficit. “Lack of capacity, integrity, and love for the people; leaders are selfish”.
“I am a well prepared candidate. I have the blueprint to turn this country around. I will deploy my over 30-decade experience in civil service, legislature, diplomatic engagements, as a two term governor, also as a minister of defence amongst others in fixing education, healthcare, poor security architecture, unemployment and broken economy”.
He assured if elected, to deploy his security expertise to stop the organised theft of the nation’s crude and solid minerals and deploy the military in driving development throughout the country.
Kwankwaso further appealed to Nigerians to do what is right as they now have the opportunity to choose a pan-Nigerian party; the NNPP to lead the next government.
On the endorsements of some presidential Candidates by former presidents and tribal leaders, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso said that the only recognized endorsement was the masses endorsement which he enjoys noting that, others were inconsequential as everyone in the North and South knows every candidate and any endorsement was null and void.
