Park Vegas Water Park: Placing Delta State On The World Map – NIPR Delta
The Vice chairman of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Delta State chapter, Mr Godfrey Osakwe, has acknowledged the need to place Delta state on the world map through the tourism industry.
Mr Osakwe hinted that amongst other industries, the tourism industry, if exploited adequately and not excessively will help propel the state further in the world map.
The Vice Chairman made these statements while taking a facility tour at Park Vegas Water Park, Ewuru of Agbor, Delta State alongside the Financial Secretary, Isaac Ogerugba; Treasurer, Florence Nwabuonwu; Welfare Officer, Ese Obote-Ogwu, and Esther Obisie as an active member of the great and distinguished Delta state chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.
During the tour, Mr Osakwe commended the visionary of the project, stating that, it will enhance the tourism potential of the state, as well as place Delta State on the world map.
While acknowledging “the need to positively engage the mind to help improve the overall well being of an individual while also reducing and maintaining stress through relaxation.” the Vice Chairman also called on relevant stakeholders in the private and public sectors to partner and patronize the Park Vegas Water Park in Agbor.
Just before the end of the tour, Mr Osakwe while expressing his heart felt gratitude to the management for their warm reception during the tour, pledged the support of the Delta state chapter of the institute where and when it relates to awareness creation and strategic engagement.
During the tour, Mr. Anthony Ogadi, the Park Supervisor, showed the members of NIPR Delta state Chapter different segments of the Park which included a Wave Pool, Space Hole, Free Fall, Black Hole, and Aqua Tower splash.
Speaking For the management, was the Human Resource Manager of Park Vegas, Mrs. Joy Esho Shaba, who while expressing gratitude to members of NIPR Delta State Chapter, for honoring their invitation, also hinted that, they are members of the International Association of Amusement Park and Attraction (IAAPA) and also World Water Park Association (WWPA) stressed that the mission of the Park is to be “Number one in West Africa”.
