Nigeria’s Youngest Lawmaker: Ossai Congratulates 26 Years Old, Otobong Bob of Akwa Ibom State Assembly
Media Aide to the Delta State Governor and Nigeria’s Youngest Political Appointee at age 23, Mr Ossai Ovie Success has congratulated 26 years old Nigeria Lawmaker, Barr Otobong Bob on his victory as House of Assembly Member Representing Nsit Ubium state constituency at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
In a congratulatory message, Ossai described the victory of Barr Otobong Bob as a victory for Nigeria Youths.
“As a youth, I am proud of Barr Otobong Bob victory as House of Assembly Member Representing Nsit Ubium state constituency at the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
“His victory is a clear fact that the youths are the leaders of today not tomorrow and if given the chance to contest for an election will emerge victoriously. It is time, we have large numbers of Nigeria Youths occupying public offices.
“The involvement of youths in politics leads to civic engagement, which is broader than political engagement because it can include service to the community through involvement in health, education and charity work.” He said while urging Barr Otobong Bob to be a good representative in making the youths proud.
Barr Otobong Bob contested under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Nsit Ubium state constituency in Akwa Ibom and won.
Bob attended the prestigious Mobil Pegasus Primary School, Eket and Greensprings School, Lagos for his O’ Levels.
He studied Law at the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom. At the age of 20, he proceeded to the Nigerian Law School (Abuja Campus).
Otobong was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2014 and thereafter enrolled for the compulsory one year of national service under the National Youth Service Corps programme (NYSC).
He also holds a Masters Degree in International Corporate Governance & Financial Regulations, from the University of Warwick.
He worked briefly under the tutelage of Dr. Alex A. Izinyon (SAN) before seeking public office.
