Osimhen Chooses EPL Over JuveFC
Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly informed Juventus directors that he inends to play in the Premier League next season, effectively ending the Italian giants’ pursuit of his signature.
According to JuveFC, Juventus officials met with Osimhen’s camp to outline their visions and ambitions, but the 26-year old striker made it clear that his priority is to secure a move to one of Europe’s top clubs in the premier league.
Sources close to JuveFC revealed that “The Bianconeri outlined their vision and ambitions, hoping to convince the Nigeria international to make the switch to Turin. However, Osimhen reportedly responded with gratitude, politely acknowledging Juventus’ interest while making it clear that his priority is to secure a move to one of Europe’s top clubs.”
Despite Juventus’ efforts to persuade Osimhen, he appears determined to join a more competitive and globally recognized league. Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea are among his preferred destinations, with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich also being considered.
Juventus reportedly responded to Osimhen’s stance with professionalism, accepting his position without pushing further. The Nigerian striker has been in impressive form during his loan spell at Galatasaray, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
Osimhen’s parent club Napoli is expected to part ways with him this summer, with reports suggesting they will look to offload him for around €75m. Recent reports linked him with Barcelona as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski, but the Catalan club believes that Osimhen’s wages and transfer fee are beyond their financial capabilities.
After rejecting a move to Chelsea last summer, Osimhen has been heavily linked with a Premier League move ahead of next season, with Manchester United reportedly leading the chase for his signature.
Galatasaray are also exploring options to retain the prolific striker permanently following his successful loan spell in Turkey.
