Osanebi Hails Okowa’s Supreme Court Victory, Asks Ogboru To Apologize To Deltans
The Member Representing Ndokwa East Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Friday Ossai Osanebi has felicitated with Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the people of Delta State on the Wednesday’s Supreme Court Victory in Abuja.
Rt Hon Osanebi who is the immediate past Deputy Speaker of the House, in a statement in Asaba described the victory as expected, pointing out that the Supreme Court had again affirmed the mandate willingly given to Dr Okowa by Deltans.
“I congratulate my Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa on the judgment of the Supreme Court that affirmed his victory as the duly elected governor of Delta State. Again, this judgment was an affirmation that the court remains the last hope of the common man and no individual, no matter the level of their machination, could railroad the wish of God for His people”.
“The apex court affirmation will embolden the governor and government of Delta State to consolidate on the stronger Delta agenda, with focus and zeal. I commend the Supreme Court judgment as it reflects the wishes of Delatns. The Supreme Court justices merely gave voice to the people’s desire for Okowa, in order to consolidate on his giants strides”. Osanebi stated.
The Lawmaker said the All Progressive Congress, APC candidate for the governorship contest, Chief Great Ogboru that launched legal battles with the Governor and Deltans immediately after the 2019 general elections, knew that he was only embarking on academic exercise.
He regretted the distractions the legal battles had caused the Delta State government and admonished Chief Great Ogboru to apologize to Deltans.
Osanebi stressed, “I call on Chief Great Ogboru and his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) to support Governor Okowa in his effort to transform Delta State, through his prosperity and SMART agenda, that is yielding positive results and impacting on Delta State already”.
Rt Hon Osanebi while felicitating with the Governor on behalf of the people of Ndokwa East, urged him to remain focus and sustained the burning desire in him to building a stronger Delta.
The Lawmaker prayed for wisdom and strength for Dr Okowa to continue his goods works and congratulated deltans for the victory.
