Fifth Anniversary: Ochor, Okoh, Elekeokwuri Commend Okowa For Good Governance
The Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Ochor Christopher Ochor, has assured Deltans of more dividends of democracy in the state.
Speaking in an interview in Asaba, the Deputy Speaker said five years of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as Governor of Delta State has with unprecedented development.
The Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Ochor Ochor attributed the success story of the Okowa’s administration in the state to the Governor’s drive for good governance and excellence.
Rt Hon Ochor said the acronym “Road Master”, was not just a name but the result of strides recorded by the administration in road infrastructure, even in riverine communities.
The Deputy Speaker while thanking Deltans for their support, called for their sustained support to Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and his led government.
Also speaking, the Majority Whip and Member Representing Ika South Constituency, Hon Festus Okoh said there is no local government area in the state that has not witnessed the development strides of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration.
Hon Okoh stated that despite the economic recession and the advent of Covid-19 pandemic, the governor never stopped in Initiating Programs geared towards enhancing quality of lives and infrastructure in the state.
The Lawmaker expressed optimism of greater development in the year ahead.
For his part, the Chairman, House Committee on Public Accounts and Member Representing Ika North East Constituency, Hon Anthony Emeka Elekeokwuri, described five years of Okowa’s government as fantastic.
Hon Elekeokwuri said the primary purpose of government is basically welfare of the people and security, saying that the Governor has done well in the two areas, particularly poverty reduction.
The Lawmaker urged Deltans to remain resolute in their confidence and prayers to Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and his led government, even as he commended the people for their unflinching support.
At the federal level and five years of Buhari’s administration, Hon Elekeokwuri enjoined the President to open up the economy as a central government for greater development.
