Okowa, A Symbol of Unity And Development – Fregene


The Delta State Commissioner, Ministry of Oil and Gas, Mr Freeman Fregene has explained that the large turnout of voters for the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in Warri South West local government area was as a result of the people’s interest for greater development.

Reacting to the over one hundred and fifty two thousand accredited voters in Warri South West during the last Saturday’s elections which was the highest in the state, Mr Fregene stated that the indigenes were committed to exercising their civic responsibilities.

Describing Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as a symbol of unity and development, Mr Fregene revealed that the people were also determined to vote massively for the PDP candidates for the elections, stressing that the political gladiators in Warri South West are now more united under the leadership of Dr Okowa.

The Oil and Gas Commissioner explained further that the 139,534 votes score by Dr Okowa in the last Saturday’s election against the 10,906 votes score by the APC candidate for the election was affirmation that Warri South West is PDP, no matter the antics of distractors.

Why congratulating Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for his landslide victory, Mr Fregene commended the people of Warri SouthWest and indeed the entire state for believing in PDP and for voting for greater and stronger Delta State.

“My people are well exposed. They know when to say yes and when to say no. They know the importance of equity and justice in their quest for greater development. They know that to achieve that, there was no alternative to Governor Okowa. Why I congratulate my governor, I will specially commend my people for listening to the voice of reasoning. Despite the challenges, they choose to be committed to the course of building a more united Delta State”. Fregene stated.
