Ukwuani 2019: Ochor Ochor Campaign Organisation Tasks Aspirants to Base Campaigns on Issues


As the 2019 elections approaches, those that are aspiring to contest have been called to avoid maligning and blackmailing the authorities to gain favour, and discredit opponents, especially within same party, and base their campaigns on issues.

The advice was given in a press release by the Ochor Ochor Campaign Organisation, signed by the Media Consultant, Emmanuel Enebeli, on behalf of Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor, who has publicly declared his intention to contest, and represent the people of Ukwuani Local Government in the Delta State House of Assembly, come May 2019.

Hon Ochor in a 12 points press release, said that he is entering the race, and to contest the primaries under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, with an open mind, and a proud party faithful since the inception of the party, and has built structures around the various wards in the local government, that will give him victory at the primaries of the party.

“Hon. Christopher Ochor Ochor does not shy away from being a steadfast Party loyalist, and an unrepentant and proud supporter of PDP led Governments since 1999 especially that of the current performing Government of Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa.”

“Hon Ochor Ochor, in preparing for the forthcoming election has developed and build structures in the ten wards of the LGA, this has made him a credible and strong player in the race.”

He called on politicians, especially on same political platform to do away with blackmailing of opponents, and the authorities, as he denounced the use of blackmail to gain supports, especially as such actions is coming from those who had been disloyal to the party and to sponsors.

“Therefore the resort of our opponent, whose history of Party disloyalty, disrespect of constituted authority, and betrayal of sponsors, to petitioning against the cordial working relationship of Hon. Ochor Ochor and the party structure can only be summarized to be cheap and unnecessary blackmail.”

The statement reiterated that his intention to run and represent the people of Ukwuani in the State House of Assembly is borne out of love to attract development to the area.

“His declaration to contest is based purely on his capability, relevance and experience which will quickly and effectively translate to development of Ukwuani Constituency in the current and coming dispensation.”

The statement stated that Hon Ochor is proud to be a politician, and had never abandoned his root, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

“Hon. Ochor Ochor remains proud of being a politician with no history of abandoning the Party even at odd times.”

“Hon. Christopher Ochor Ochor will not and cannot deny his political root just because his opponent is using it as a campaign strategy to pull him down.”

The statement further advised the opponents, who are carrying campaign of calumny, and blackmail against him, and the authorities to step down instead of carrying campaigns of blackmail, as it had been proved that they have nothing to offer.

  1. The scheduled elections as regard Delta State House of Assembly is drawing near.
  2. Hon Christopher Ochor Ochor Declaration that he will be contesting in the PDP Primaries for the position of Candidate that will be representing Ukwuani Constituency, has charged the political atmosphere to full voltage.
  3. Hon Ochor Ochor is entering the race with an open political contest curriculum vitae, having beating incumbent in Party Primary elections in all the 3 consecutive times he had contested.
  4. Christopher Ochor Ochor does not shy away from being a steadfast Party loyalist, and an unrepentant and proud supporter of PDP led Governments since 1999 especially that of the current performing Government of Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa.
  5. His declaration to contest is based purely on his capability, relevance and experience which will quickly and effectively translate to development of Ukwuani Constituency in the Current and coming dispensation.

  9. We will remain focussed in telling the electorate what Hon. Ochor Ochor has to offer and his relevance in attracting dividends of democracy to Ukwuani Land.
  10. Ochor Ochor remains proud of being a politician with no history of abandoning the Party even at odd times.
  11. Christopher Ochor Ochor will not and cannot deny his political root just because his opponent is using it as a campaign strategy to pull him down.
  12. Finally Ochor Ochor Campaign team advice his opponents to quietly step down if they have found out that they will not be relevant in the coming dispensation.
