Birthday: Delta Deputy Speaker, Ochor Celebrates Okowa At 61
Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ochor Christopher Ochor has felicitated with the state Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa on the occasion of his 61st birthday, Wednesday, July 8, 2020.
Ochor in a birthday statement, signed by his Press Secretary, Mr. Emmanuel Enebeli, extolled the Governor on how he had for the past five years governed the state, especially in the management of the resources that had accrued to the state and efforts to develop the various critical needs of the state.
He stated that his efforts and foresight in running the state was witnessed with the onset of the Novel Coronavirus pandemic, when he quickly setup a management team to mitigate the spread of the virus in the state.
The Deputy Speaker said, “On behalf of my family, and the people of my constituency, I celebrate as you mark your 61st Birthday.
“As Governor of Delta State for the past five years, you have shown your extreme capacity to govern the state. This can be seen in your various policies for the development of the state.
“At 61, it’s on record that you had over the years contributed immensely to the development of our state, which had transcended to the entire country.
“During the onset of the current health crises facing the entire world, you acted swiftly by setting up a team to manage the pandemic crises in the state by quickly building and equipping treatment/Isolation centres within the three Senatorial District of the state.”
“Your prudent management of the state finances had been wonderful. And this had greatly helped in your policy statements and actions.”
The Deputy Speaker prayed that the Almighty God grant Governor Okowa longer life, good health, strength and wisdom to govern the state, to achieve a Stronger Delta.
