COVID-19: Delta Speaker Splashes Palliatives On Constituents, Churches, Groups
Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has supported the State Government’s effort of providing food for vulnerable persons in the State due to the lockdown to check the spread of the deadly Coronavirus Disease, COVID-19 pandemic.
Oborevwori who is the lawmaker representing Okpe Constituency, boosted the State Food Bank with the donation of 1,000 bags (10kg) of Rice and 1,000 bags (10kg) of Beans to be distributed to his constituents.
In the same vein, the Sheriff Oborevwori Foundation also presented another set of 1,000 bags (10kg) of Rice and 1,000 bags (10kg) of Beans directly to some Churches and other groups.
This gesture by the Speaker is an addition to previous palliatives he made to Okpe constituents since the beginning of the state wide lockdown, April 1, even as he promised to do more as time goes on.
Each Ward in Okpe Local government received a total of 100 bags of rice and 100 bags of beans with Ward Three and Ten getting an additional 50 bags of beans and 50 bags of rice each for being the bigger Wards in the council area.
