Oborevwori Applauds Okowa For Development In Okpe Kingdom


…Assures Governor of Re-Election in 2019

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Wednesday showered encomiums on the State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi  Okowa over what he described as unprecedented development of Okpe Kingdom by the Governor, assuring him of his re-election in 2019.

In his vote of thanks at the Town Hall Meeting at Orerokpe, Headquarters of Okpe Local Government Area, the Speaker said that the Governor has done so much for Okpe people in the last two years.

“I want to sincerely thank His Excellency, the Governor for the developmental strides in Okpe Kingdom. The first time the Governor visited Okpe Kingdom, he commissioned some roads embarked upon by his administration. Only yesterday, he commissioned the Orerokpe Modern Market and some roads. Your Excellency, you have done so much for our people and Okpe people are happy with you”.

The Speaker added that; “An English poet once said that you can only say it is splendid when evening comes, our people are saying that it has been splendid with you. Words are not enough to express our profound gratitude to you.We can only pay you back for what you are doing for us by re-electing you in 2019.This is the debt we owe you. To whom much is given, much is expected. We are solidly behind your re-election in 2019”.

The Speaker commended the people of the kingdom for the unity among them and said it should be sustained.
