O5 Initiative Inaugurates 19th Sickle Cell Clinic in Delta

In pursuance of its mandate to ensure the establishment of sickle cell clinics in the 25 local government areas of Delta state, the 05 Initiative has commissioned the Nineteenth Sickle Cell Clinic in the State.

Inaugurating the sickle cell clinic located at the Bomadi General Hospital, in Bomadi Local Government Area, Dame Edith Okowa thanked God for the privilege to impact lives, and charged the people to bring those with traces of sickle cell anaemia to the clinic, as early detection saved lives.

She enjoined the health personnel at the clinic to give adequate attention and care to the patients so as to justify the huge investment of the 05 Initiative.

The governor’s wife commended the chairman of the local government Honourable William Angadi for supporting the 05 Initiative and urged residents to take ownership of the facility and ensure its maintenance.

The Bomadi council chairman, Honourable William Angadi lauded the efforts of the 05 Initiative, in restoring hope to the hopeless in the state and the council’s support to the furtherance of set goals.

The facility in Bomadi community, brings to nineteen, the number of sickle cell clinics in the state.
