Nomination Opens for 2017 100 Most Influential Young Africans


Africa Youth Awards, the leading organisation that honours young leaders and achievers across Africa has opened nominations for the 2017 edition of its annual ranking of the Most Influential Young Africans.

The inaugural list which was released in 2016, had a massive reception from across the continent including the president of Rwanda Paul Kagame and other influential Africans and also sparked positive debates around the continent about the potential and role of young people.

Categories Opened for Nomination include; Media, Law and Governance, Business, Sports, Academia and Personal Development, Science and Technology, Social Enterprise and Philanthropy, Leadership and Civil Society, Entertainment, Lifestyle.

Nominations can submitted through www.africayouthawards.org/nominate/ 

According to the COO of Africa Youth Awards, Terser Adamu, the final list will be released in August ahead of the commemoration of the United Nation’s International Youth Day.

Launched in 2014, the Africa Youth Awards has become a recognised platform for young Africans to showcase what contributions they have made to the success of the continent thus far, and the potential that they possess to take Africa to the next level across various key industries.
