Ned Nwoko Support Group Sensitizes Anioma People, Hinges Concern On Purposeful Leadership Going Forward

The Ned Nwoko Support Group, a critical stakeholder and Focused Group coordinating other groups within the Prince Ned Nwoko political structure has been sensitizing Anioma people – local government area by local government area, harping their political enlightenment on the need to enthrone a purposeful leadership using the 2019 Senate electioneering as window.

So far, the group had visited Oshimili North, Oshimili South, Ika North-East, Ika South, Ndokwa West and Aniocha South Local Government Areas. Going by their time table, they would round off with the tour in Aniocha North LGA.

According to the Leader of the Group, Comrade Collins Okonkwo, “This phase of the Ned Nwoko Support Group grassroots sensitization is worthwhile and exhilarating; the feedback is heartwarming. What we are doing is to educate the people on their right to take their destinies in their hands. And it begins with their belief system, understanding their Democratic rights, voting right and securing their mandate”.

Speaking further, the internationally acclaimed Activist posited the need for a purposeful leadership in our quest for economic growth and human capital development. He underscored the fact that as a people, Anioma Nation had not been too lucky with honest and goal-getting leaders.

But sounding optimistic, he revealed that the Group came together having observed and bought into the Leadership capabilities of Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko, describing him as “a man who is in a mission to salvage his people from disjointed and retrogressive leadership. If Ned could save Nigeria from going into extinction with the economic recession that recently bedevilled it, then Anioma Nation, comprising of Delta North Senatorial District is too small to rescue”, he said.

Briefing newsmen after a recent visit of the Focused Group in Ogwashi-Uku, Comrade Okonkwo stated that the second phase of the Ned Nwoko Support Group would be a launching of the Agenda to support Hon. Ned Nwoko for Senate in 2019. “This is because we believe that Ned has the clout, the leadership qualities and intimidating resume to represent the good people of Delta North Senatorial Zone in the Senate. We enjoyed enormous dividends of democracy when he was at the National Assembly as a Member of the House of Reps; and so we believe he would do much more given his antecedents”, he submitted.
