MORE Agenda: Deaconess Oborevwori Urges Prayers for Husband’s Administration
The wife of Delta Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori has urged the people of the state to continue praying for the administration of her husband, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori to enable him fulfil his vision as encapsulated in the MORE Agenda.
Deaconess Oborevwori who is the founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, made this call when she received a twin delegation of Christian leaders on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Government House, Asaba.
Addressing the delegates of the Christian Women Intercessors For All Nation (CWIFAN) led by the Vision Coordinator, Dr Mrs Augusta Ogbene, Oborevwori emphasized the place of praying women in the society noting that no home can survive the challenges of life without a committed praying woman.
She commended the women for standing in the gap for previous administrations in the state and urged them not to relent in her husband’s administration which has various people-oriented programmes lined up for implementation. She noted that only through prayers, will these MORE Agenda materialize for the benefit of Deltans.
Welcoming officials of the Pastors’ Forum for Sustainable Development, led by Bishop Jude Akhere, Deaconess Oborevwori appreciated the clergies for their overwhelming support during the election that ushered in her husband as the Governor of Delta State.
She encouraged them to remain steadfast in their prayers now that the Governor has commenced critical projects across the state, stressing that, it is only through prayers that these projects can be completed successfully.
The Governor’s wife also sought the Christian leaders’ intercession for the successful implementation of her foundation’s vision of creating a world where everyone is valued.
The Christian leaders described Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori as the Deborah of this generation and a true daughter of Zion. They further applauded the commitment of the Governor and his wife to the work of God, which they noted is evident within and beyond the state.
They prayed for the continuous prosperity of the state and the impartation of God’s wisdom on the Governor, and for the success of the first lady’s pet project.
