Mohbad’s Death Brought Me Blessings – Father

Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has stated that his son’s death improved his life.

Recall that the late singer died under controversial circumstances on September 11, 2023, at the age of 26.

In an interview with media personality Akin Abolade, also known as Mrlilgaga,  Aloba attributed the positive changes in his life to divine intervention and the spirit of his late son.

“Let me just say yes, my life got better after Mohbad’s death because he is my friend. He had it in plan to do many things for me but they didn’t allow him to do them. After his death, it was the spirit of Mohbad, and that of God combined together that began to send people to assist me,” he said.

Aloba disclosed that he received several gifts, including a car and truck, from compassionate Nigerians. “Even the car and everything I have now, it was people that gave them to me and it is beyond ordinary. So it is the spirit of Mohbad and God that led those people to give me all I have now,” he added.

Aloba also opened up about the challenges Mohbad faced before his death, alleging that his son’s wife, Wunmi, and her family controlled much of the late singer’s property.

“They did a lot concerning that boy (Mohbad). All his landed property is in their possession. Even the land he bought for me to build a church, I forced him to buy and mould the blocks on it, which was later used to bury him,” he said.

Aloba also recalled how Mohbad had planned to buy him a house after completing his tour, which was already paid for before his death.
