May Day: Guwor Appreciates Delta Workers


Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, has rejoiced with Organized Labour in Nigeria on the 2024 Workers’ Day Celebration.

The Speaker in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Nkem Nwaeke, particularly felicitated with Workers in Delta on this year’s May 1st annual event with the theme “People First”.

Rt Hon Guwor who is the National Treasurer, Conference of Speakers of States Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, appreciated Delta State Workers for their commitment and resilience in advancing the fortunes of the state.

He stated that the Labour Unions and their Members, have been worthy partners in good governance and the development of the state.

Rt Hon Guwor enjoined the Workers never to loose focus but to keep faith with the present administration in the state led by Rt Hon Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, as it is determined to grow all sectors of the state’s economy, including areas that promote the welfare and wellbeing of workers.

The Speaker assured that the Delta State House of Assembly will continue to legislate on issues that would encourage and enhance peace and progress in the state.

“I commend Delta Workers for their unwavering dedication to the State’s progress and prosperity.

“I cannot but appreciate them for their commitment and steadfastness to government’s drive for a greater state.

“As we celebrate with the Workers today, I seek from them continued genuine support to the state government.

“I enjoined them to keep on with the productive spirits for the growth of the state” Guwor stated.
