Severed Head: Former SSG, Macaulay, Egbo, Igelige, Others Condemn Murder of Unidentified Man
… Call for Police Swift Action.
Former Secretary to Delta State Government (SSG), Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay has described as barbaric, the severed head of an unknown young man dumped in Uzere junction, Isoko South Local Government Area and called on the Nigeria Police to fish out the culprits.
Macaulay who reacted to the incident which was recorded weekend, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Iteveh Ekpokpobe said the perpetrators are inhuman and cannot not be allowed to roam and live free.
According to him, there has been a spate of killing with every indication of been ritualistic recalling the January 15, 2018 case of a young lady identified as Happiness, an ND Science and Laboratory Technology, SLT at Delta state Polytechnic Ozoro, who was gruesomely murdered after reportedly leaving her hostel to visit a friend in Isoko south local government area of the state.
He called on the police to intensify efforts to bring the perpetrators to book adding that Isoko is a peaceful place and will continue to remain.
Chief Macaulay urged residents to douse their fears and work with Nigeria police by supplying requisite information that can aid their investigation into the case.
Also reacting to the development, Special Assistant to the Governor on Community and Conflict Resolution, Hon. Evans Egbo, and Delta Assembly Membership Hopeful, Hon. Jubilant Igelige described the incident as a taboo and condemnable in all ramifications.
They called on the Police to leave no atone unturned in unveiling the faces behind the acts even as they called for cooperation of stakeholders and residents towards solving the case.
Recall that palpable fear weekend, gripped Isoko South Local Government Area, following the discovery of the head of an unidentified young man at the junction of Uzere community in Isoko South Local Government Area of the state.
