Music and Pageantry: Kor8t Serve Limited Launches Eco Ur Hero Ndokwa Talent Project

An entertainment and hospitality firm in Asaba, Delta State, Kor8t Serve Limited has unveiled its plans of developing talents of youngsters from Ndokwa Nation and showcasing them to the world.
The talent hunt project christen, ‘Eco Ur Hero Ndokwa’ which involves Music and Beauty Pageant competition, will see winners go home with various prizes worth millions of Naira.
Speaking at the a Press Briefing of journalists, Entertainers and Show Promoters on Monday, March 9, 2020 in Asaba, the MD/CEO Kor8t Serve Limited, Mr Kelvin Ossai noted that the project which is coming into reality after years of conception, is to acknowledge, identify and showcase the creative prowess of the Ndokwa ethnic nationalities who are known to be very innovative, intelligent and exploratory in nature.
Mr Ossai who spoke through the a Senior Aide to the Delta State Governor, Mr Samuel Fejokwu, said “Eco Ur Hero is a well-planned and structured competition that is driven by a shared vision to create an inclusive, supportive and inspirational platform where each and every youth contestant will explore, develop and realize their individual artistic dream or aspiration. It is an uncommon opportunity for participants to echo their creative attributes in music and pageantry.”
Adding that, “the vision is to promote the culture, character, peace and unity of the Ndokwa nation through music not just to Ndokwa land but to the world at large where Ndokwa music/musicians will compete with the likes of Flavour, Phyno, Umu-Obiligbo, Bright Chimezie, Sir Shina Peters and the likes in time to come through agressive and consistent promotion.
“The core objective of the ‘Eco Ur Hero’ project is to support and enhance projects, programs, and activities for talented and motivated youths of our communities and to provide an appropriate competitive platform for the display of their talents as well as funding support that will help them actualize their dreams.”
He disclosed that the schedule for the programme will feature three rounds of auditions in the three Ndokwa Local Government Areas- Ndokwa East (Ashaka), Ndokwa West (Kwale) and Ukwuani (Obiaruku) in the month of April and the Finals of the event will be held in May, 2020 in Asaba where overall winners will emerge in the music and beauty pageant competitions.
The community beauty pageant tagged, ‘Face of Ndokwa’ is reserved for females aged 18-25years, while the music competitions is opened to both genders within the ages of 16-35 years. Only indigenes of Ndokwa extraction are welcomed for both competitions.
It will be recalled that in 2019, as part of its vision of sustaining the heritage of music icons, Kor8t Serve limited organised a tribute concert in honour of late Ndokwa music star, Prince Smart Williams in Asaba which saw the huge gathering of top entertainers, government officials and fans of Anioma music.
