IYC Felicitates with Okowa, Pondi, Other Ijaw Elected Lawmakers as they Get INEC Certificates of Return

The Ijaw Youth Council, IYC Worldwide under the leadership of Barr. Oweilaemi Roland Pereotubo, the Seventh president of IYC has congratulated the Delta State Governor-Elect, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Hon. Julius Pondi and other Ijaw elected lawmakers on the occasion of the presentation of Certificates of Return to them by INEC.

The IYC president who spoke with journalists today in Warri, expressed happiness and joy as he felicitated with Governor Okowa on the bestowal of the mandate of Deltans on him.

In a brief congratulatory message, Barr. Pereotubo said; “Your Excellency Sir, as you have received INEC Certificate of Return for another term with all sense of joy on your well deserved position, it is a great celebration in eyes of Delta Ijaw and Delta state at large.

“We wish you long life and pray that God will equip you with more wisdom and glory to govern Delta state in the next four years”.

The Youth President further expressed confidence that Governor Okowa will deliver more dividends of democracy and development for Delta Ijaws than what he did for them in his first term.

He urged all Ijaw elected legislators in National Assembly and State Assembly to use their good offices to attract development to Ijaw nation.
