Invest In God’s House, Macaulay Charges Christians


…As Fr. Jude Onyebadi Celebrates 25 Years Ordination Anniversary.

Christians the world over, have been urged see it righteous to celebrate God, by investing in his house as well as in servicing society by giving to the needy.

Former Secretary to Delta State Government, Comrade Ovuozourie Macaulay, made the call during theĀ 25 years anniversary celebration of priestly ordination of Rev. Fr. Jude Onyebadi of St. Peter Catholic Church, Issele-Azagba.

Macaulay who was Chairman of the event, said one thing found deficient in the lives of Christians in contemporary times is the undermining the importance of giving.

According to him, the need to emulate our Vickers as well as servicing their alters through giving cannot be overemphasized.

In his words, ”We are deficient in something as Christians, which is celebrating God. If we want the blessings of God, we must be consistent in investing in the house of God. Until we do that, we are not really worshipping God.”

He commendedĀ Rev. Fr. Jude Onyebadi for his commitment to the alter and word of God even as he wished him better years ahead.

”We are here to join one of our brothers who has dedicate his entire life to the service of God. It is the height of sacrifice. I congratulate you. Celebration will continue to be part of your life.” He added.

Macaulay, however, called urged the Nigerians to key into farming to help meet the country’s nutrition demands just as Rev. Fr Onyebadi and others are doing. ”Let us try to feed ourselves. Farming is the way to go.”

Earlier, the celebrant, Rev. Fr.Ā Onyebadi thanked God for giving him the grace to survive the years in service, even as he pledged to continue with his contribution to the development of mankind.

Present at the event included, Obi Francis Ijeh, Obi of Issele Azagba, Monsignor Buchi Aninye, Former Lands and Survey Commissioner, Hon. Patrick Ferife, Hon. Mike Ogwah, the Vice Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State, Comrade Patrick Ochei amongst others.
