Ika North-East PDP Celebrates Okowa’s 60th Birthday With Physically Challenged Persons

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ika North-East, Monday, July 8, 2019 rolled out its drum to celebrate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa Sixtieth birthday anniversary with physical challenged persons in Ika nation.

The event which held at Boji-Boji Owa, attracted the Member Representing Ika Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Victor Nwokolo, the Member Representing Ika North East in the State House of Assembly, Hon Anthony Elekeokwuri and the PDP Chairman in Ika North-East, Chief Godwin Ogadi as well as physical challenged persons from Ika South and North East local government areas.

Addressing the people, the Member Representing Ika Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Victor Nwokolo said the ceremony was put together to celebrate Okowa’s Sixtieth birthday anniversary and thanked God for the governor’s life

He described Governor Okowa as a pacesetter and visionary leader whose hardworking traits has enabled him to spread development to all parts of the State.

The Federal lawmaker noted that Governor Okowa had dedicated his Sixtieth birthday anniversary with the physically challenged persons because of his love and care for them.

Hon Nwokolo said the governor’s development footprints were evident in all parts of the state and prayed God to give him more wisdom to enable him surpass the achievements recorded in his first term during his second tenure.

The member representing Ika North-East Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon Anthony Elekeokwuri said the governor needs the prayers of Deltans to enable him achieve more for the people stressing that he feels the pains of the physical challenged persons hence the PDP decided to celebrate his birthday with them.

Hon Elekeokwuri said Governor Okowa was worth celebrating having dedicated his life to the service of God, the state and humanity.

The lawmaker urged Deltans to continue to support the Okowa administration in its efforts to build a stronger Delta.

For his part, the PDP Chairman Ika North-East, Chief Godwin Ogadi said the governor appreciates the physical challenged persons hence they were celebrating with them, noting that it was an honour on behalf of the governor.

The Proprietor Hope in God Foundation, Evangelist James Azubuike and some physically challenged persons who spoke commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his development efforts across the state and for carrying them along in the scheme of things.

They thanked God for the governor’s sixtieth birthday anniversary saying that the governor had lived an exemplary life of service which is worth of commendation and celebration.

The highlight of the event was the cutting of the governor’s birthday cake and prayers for the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
