Ighrakpata Describes Amioku’s Death As Devastating, Mourns Obada, Overah Demise
The Deputy Chief Whip and Member Representing Uvwie Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon (Chief) Solomon Ighrakpata has described the death of Chief Tom Amioku as devastating.
Hon Ighrakpata in a statement said the death of Chief Amioku came to him with rude shock, stressing that the late politician and renowned chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, was a great asset to him in many aspects, both in the PDP family, Urhobo ethnic nationality and the Catholic faith.
The Lawmaker stated that Chief Amioku’s impact in the present democratic dispensation that started in 1999 was great, maintaining “As a Special Adviser, Commissioner, Member of the Delta State Executive Council, Delta State Representative on the board of the NDDC and leader of the PDP in Delta Central, Chief Amioku achieved a lot for the state and his works would remain evergreen”.
Hon Ighrakpata while condoling the entire Amioku’s family on behalf of the people of Uvwie Constituency, prayed God to grant the soul of the man he described as a Gentleman Politician eternal rest.
The Uvwie House of Assembly Member also expressed sadness over the deaths of retired General John Obada and Hon Joyce Overah, saying that their demise was a great loss to Urhobo nation and Delta State.
Hon Ighrakpata also prayed for the repose of the souls of the retired General and the former member of House Of Representative and Commissioner in the state, even as he condoled both families on the irrepressible loss.
