Igbodo Monarch Congratulates Governor Oborevwori on Legal Victory
The Obi Of Igbodo Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Obi, (Barr) Ikechukwu Nkeobikwu Osedume has described the victory of Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori at the Supreme court as a re -affirmation of the collective mandate freely given to him by all Deltans in the March 18, 2023 governorship election in the state.
In a congratulatory message to Governor Oborevwori, on behalf of the good people of Igbodo kingdom the monarch described the Apex Court’s affirmation of the Governor’s Election as victory for democracy and restoration of the people’s confidence in the judiciary and electoral process.
He described the victory as a huge one not only for PDP family but for all Deltans, adding that the victory will further enhance on the More Agenda of his administration that has started on a sound note.
Obi Osedume explained that the jubilation across the state is a testament of the fact that Governor Oborevwori’s administration is well accepted by all Deltans hence the victory is worth celebrating.
The Igbodo monarch said it was instructive to note that Governor Oborevwori emerged victorious in all the 38 legal suits meant to stop him from being Governor from the lower courts up to the Supreme Court insisting that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is a Child of Grace.
The traditional ruler urged the Governor to remain focused in the implementation of the M.O.R.E agenda adding that the Supreme Court Victory should spur the Governor to do more for the greater good of all Deltans.
“I want to commend the PDP lawyers for their good presentation of evidences at the Supreme Court which led to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s victory.
“I also appeal that we should all come together in unity and give maximum support to the Governor to enable him deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of the state,” he added.
The monarch prayed that God should continue to grant the Governor good health, sound mind, wisdom and knowledge to pilot the affairs of Delta State in the years ahead”.
