IDU Passes Vote Of Confidence On Okowa, Nwokolo, Describes Duo As Worthy Ambassadors Of Ika Nation
The Asaba branch of Igbodo Development Union, IDU has passed votes of implicit confidence on the State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa and the Member Representing Ika Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Victor Nwokolo, describing the duo as great ambassadors of Ika nation.
The President of the union, Mr Oge Ogana in a statement after a meeting of the body in Asaba, said the reelection of Dr Okowa and Hon Nwokolo for another term of four years were worthy of celebrations.
Mr Ogana commended the people of Ika South and Ika North East for their massive mobilization for the polls, stressing that the good works of Dr Okowa and Hon Nwokolo gave them victories even before the elections.
He stated that despite the antics of distractors who infiltrated Ika nation, the people remained firm in their strong believe for respect to constituted authority, peace and development in Ika land.
Mr Ogana while thanking Deltans for their support for Dr Okowa, expressed optimism that the next four years will witness greater development in the state.
The IDU Asaba branch President noted that Deltans voted for peace, unity and progress, emphasizing that it was victory of the people over federal might.
Mr Ogana on behalf of members congratulated Dr Okowa and Hon Nwokolo for their reelections, assuring them of sustained prayers and support of the Igbodo community in Asaba.
The IDU Asaba branch President also felicitated with the members representing Ika South and Ika North East, Honorables Emeke Elekeokwuri and Festus Okoh for their reelection, saying that it was victory for Ika nation.
